Conditions of Entry – Clay & Sip
1. General Condition
- Entry to the premises is subject to compliance with these Conditions of Entry (Conditions).
- By entering the premises, all persons (Patrons) agree to be bound by these Conditions and any lawful directions given by staff.
2. BYO Alcohol Policy
2.1. Patrons aged 18 years or over may bring their own alcoholic beverages (BYO Alcohol) for personal consumption during pottery sessions, subject to these Conditions and all applicable laws.
2.2. Proof of Age is mandatory for all patrons bringing their own alcoholic beverages. The Art Department reserves the right to refuse entry or service to any person unable to provide valid identification.
2.3. Notwithstanding clause 2.2, the Art Department may still request Proof of Age from any patron attending the premises at its reasonable discretion.
2.4. The consumption of BYO Alcohol is permitted only within designated areas and during scheduled pottery sessions.
3. Responsible Service and Conduct
3.1. A liquor license is not required to operate a BYO venue pursuant to Liquor Act 2007 (NSW) however, the Art Department is obligated to take the necessary precautions in order to operate and manage our services responsibly.
3.2. Patrons must consume alcohol responsibly. Intoxicated persons will be refused entry or required to leave the premises.
3,3, The Art Department reserves the right to limit or prohibit the consumption of BYO Alcohol at its sole discretion.
3.4. No alcohol may be supplied to, or consumed by, persons under 18 years of age on the premises.
3.5. Patrons who are accompanied by persons under 18 years of age (including children) are responsible for supervising their underage companions. The Art Department reserves the right to remove patrons and notify law enforcement if we suspect that an underage companion is being supplied with or is consuming alcohol while under the supervision of any patron.
3.6. The accepted BYO Alcohol options are beer, cider, wine, and any pre-mixed (sealed) beverages.
3.7 Straight liquor and/or shots are not permitted including bringing ingredients/components of products for mixing while at the Premises.
4. Compliance with Laws
4.1. Patrons must comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Liquor Act 2007 (NSW) and any local council requirements.
4.2. The Art Department may notify law enforcement or regulatory authorities of any unlawful conduct.
5. Insurance and Liability
- Patrons participate in pottery activities and consume BYO Alcohol at their own risk.
- The Art Department holds public liability insurance as required by law, but accepts no responsibility for loss, damage, injury, or illness arising from the consumption of alcohol or participation in activities, except to the extent required by law.
- Patrons are responsible for their own property and safety.
6. Plastic Wine Glasses and Safety
- Plastic Wine Glasses will be provided for consumption of drinks and must be handled with care.
- The Art Department reserves the right to prohibit certain types of containers and/or packaging for safety reasons.
- The Art Department accepts no responsibility for loss, damage, injury, or illness arising from the use of Plastic Wine Glasses provided to patrons for consumption of BYO Alcohol.
7. Behaviour and Removal
- Disorderly, offensive, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated.
- The Art Department reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person from the premises at its absolute discretion.
